Wandsworth council received almost 8 million pounds in income from selling Resident Parking permits – which residents in some areas do not want.
Data about their renewals released today (see page here) revealed 61,000 reminders are sent out. A standard 1 year residents permit costs £130, giving a total of £7.8million.
this is disgraceful – the council just say their prices are comparative with the other (overcharging) councils.
