Applications are open now for the next round of grants from the Wandsworth Borough of Sanctuary Fund.

Fines for parking and traffic penalty charges are set to increase across London on 7 April 2025, to deter dangerous and inconsiderate parking and driving. The new charges aim to bring fines in line with the Transport for London's (TfL) road network.

Residents are being encouraged to organise street parties to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe, known as Victory in Europe Day (VE Day), as Wandsworth Council waives fees for street closures to support celebrations over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend.

Work to transform Burntwood Lane is well underway as part of Wandsworth Council’s commitment to improving roads and pavements, making it easier and safer for residents to choose active modes of travel such as walking, cycling, and wheeling. 

Tooting Community Kitchen is one of Wandsworth Mayor Sana Jafri’s chosen charities for this year.

char.gy Ltd has been appointed as the new operator of many of the lamp post charging points in Wandsworth. They take over from ubitricity through a phased rollout which started in July 2024.
