To celebrate Social Work Week, Wandsworth Council was invited to the Social Worker of the Year Parliamentary reception at the House of Commons on 17 March. As the 2024 winner of the Supportive Social Worker of the Year Award, the council was recognised for its outstanding contributions to the field. The event marked excellence in the profession and kicked off the 2025 awards.

Fines for parking and traffic penalty charges are set to increase across London on 7 April 2025, to deter dangerous and inconsiderate parking and driving. The new charges aim to bring fines in line with the Transport for London's (TfL) road network.
