A once traffic-heavy cut-through in the heart of Tooting will become a greener, safer, and more welcoming space for the community, and it’s all thanks to the ideas, feedback and support of residents and businesses.

Through the support of local employers, Wandsworth Council has delivered an extensive work experience programme this summer, opening doors for hundreds of young people to explore future careers and gain invaluable insight into the world of work.

We know there’s been frustration about traffic delays at Putney Bridge, and we are listening, acting, and continuing to work with Transport for London (TfL) to make things better.

Thousands of children across Wandsworth aged under 5 will get a free book every month after the borough launches Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
