Council leaders from across south west London and Surrey have condemned the announcement by NHS managers that children’s cancer services are to be removed from Tooting’s St George’s Hospital.
We are submitting a planning application for the first stage of the Early Improvement Plan for the Alton estate.
This will include improvements to existing play space and public space.
Residents have been involved in discussions for the plan and will soon be able to formally register their comments as part of the application process.

Council leaders from across south west London and Surrey have condemned today’s (Thursday’s) announcement by NHS managers that children’s cancer services are to be removed from Tooting’s St George’s Hospital.
The council is about to make changes to the road layout on Putney Bridge to remove a traffic bottleneck, improve bus reliability times and improve safety for cyclists.
